When Does The Day Begin?

I am no scholar, professional, or a preacher like many pastor nor teachers in school. I am just as simple a man, a brother like everyone else who is searching for the truth and share about it. My intention here is to present my sharing, as part of my learning and my testimony of how I have discovered the shocking truth from the false teaching I was brought up. I do not want to keep this to my self but to reveal the whole truth to the world as I can. I must warn you, many bible versions were translated made by translators were given authorly by man to translate in their language, NOT by YAH. Meaning, they both in vain have disobey YAH's covenant law that we're not suppose to change by adding or removing what was first written. (Proverbs 30:5-6, Deuteronomy

4:2, Isaiah 40:8, Revelation 22:18-19 & Matthew 5:17). You can see why we have so many different culture and language because we are the divided people. Because we were cut-off people from YAH's true followers believers. We end up created our own law and time. This is why we have to be careful what and how we read the modern Bible translate books.

This document will benefit you to gain a better understanding of how to properly track the 24-hour day. To understand why the beginning of the day does not start at sundown evening or at midnight 12 o’clock but dawn before sunrise. We all have been living off based on the traditions of man, I once asked myself a question “where did the 12 O’clock midnight customs come from?” According to history, the highest point (or middle) of the day is at high noon (12 O’clock PM) and the opposite to that point middle of day is 12 O’clock midnight. Ancient Egyptian followed the tracking time of the day by observing the sundial. The sun mark down the highest overhead a shadow which point straight up to the top of the sundial. Sundial device have change over time through different kingdom time.

Let talk about Roman-Gregorian time system, Great Britain and its colonies (including parts of what is now the United States) adopted the Gregorian calendar in 1752. The European colonies of the Americas adopted the change when their mother countries did. New France and New Spain had adopted the new calendar in 1582. The Gregorian calendar was applied in the British colonies in Canada and the future United States east of the Appalachian Mountains in 1752. Alaska remained on the Julian calendar along with the rest of Russia until 1867, when it was sold to the United States. At noon on Saturday, 7 October 1867 (Julian), the date changed to Friday, 18 October 1867 (Gregorian). Although the Julian calendar was 12 days behind the Gregorian calendar, only 11 days were skipped because Alaska also moved from the European side of the International Date Line to the American side.

The traditions of manmade Roman-Gregorian time system change the creator's instruction. This is one of the few reasons why we today lack of tracking the proper tracking time. Please read what the book of JEREMIAH 33:20-21 have to say about covenant with the DAY and NIGHT:

“Thus said YHUH, ‘If you could break My covenant with the day and My covenant with the night so that there be not day and night in their season, then My covenant could also be broken with Dawiḏ My servant – so that he shall not have a son to reign upon his throne – and with the Lĕwites, the priests, My attendants”

Let go back to GENESIS chapter one, verse five where it said, “There came to be evening and there came to be morning, the first day”. In this passage verse we must read very carefully how we picture our mind what it saying to us. We can NOT automatically take as conclusion that the “EVENING” is, therefore, the beginning of the day, because it mentioned first in the scripture during the creation. We need to used wisdom that we already know by the count of the hour. From the time of evening (sundown) to morning (sunrise) during spring or fall season, does that sound like a 24 hours day? NO, it does NOT. WHY? From sundown evening counting hours to sunrise morning hours is only 12 hours. Since the hours between sundown to sunrise, that is during NIGHT hours of the day. That is the correct wisdom understanding of what verse five of Genesis chapter one saying. The reminder of the other 12 hours day is during the DAYLIGHT time. When YAH labor to create the first duty in the void of the deep darkness where there were waters, HE spoken the first creation word, “let there be LIGHT” to appear. He separates this light from the darkness and was glad HE did that According to verse three and four. Those two verses are what YAH was doing during the DAYLIGHT hours, not during the NIGHT hours. The first 12 hours was HIM creating the new world and then the reminder 12 during the night he did nothing. That was the whole 24 hours day one.

Second thing we must also read careful in verse one and two of Genesis one, we can not literarily think those two verses are similar to how YAH created the light in verse three and four. Because the void of the darkness deep and waters already exist. I have a strong reason to believe the first two verses are consider the introduction of what YAH did in the void of the darkness deep where there were waters at the time. Then from verses 3 to 31 describe how he created the heaven and earth in the void of the darkness deep where the waters were. All this make logical sense than how those manmade theory of the big bang or dusk of the night start the 24 hours day nor 12 o’clock mid-night start the new day.

You might not agree with me, but it is true. All translators from past have has change the original Bible the way it was written. For example, in Genesis 1:5, the word “AND” in between the statement “was evening and the morning” was believed to be added. The so for the word “WERE” appear to be a wrong added describable word for this verse as well. These two words I believe is what caused a huge misunderstanding in people mind. Discovered the best of the few word fitter for verse 5 are “to exist”, “to become”, “come to pass” or “follow”. The word follow seems the best describable fitter than the word “WERE”. That is why the German Bible appear to have a better describable verse. Here what the German version Bible called “Good News Bible” said for Genesis 1:5 - “And He named the light day and the darkness night. The evening passed and morning came – that was the first day”. We also should look into a book called Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, it all explains in there as well.

Passover/Unleavened Bread Appointed days?

I also like to point out about the Unleavened Bread days, which also talk about the evening to evening.

"In the first month, ON the 14th day of the month at even, you shall eat unleavened bread, until the 21st day of the month at even" - Exodus 12:18

Again, the above passage is NOT saying that the day starts at evening. It says, "ON THE 14th Day". NOT "beginning of the 14th day". What this verse saying, is that we are to EAT unleavened

bread from even to even. Meaning, for 7 day, we can not eat Regular bread but unleavened bread. Now, what does the Passover/ Unleavened bread and Atonement seasons have in common? You will realized that they both represent the Sacrifice of YahuSha, our Messiah who died for our sins, is our Atonement.

The next thing people also don’t realized, NONE of the other appointed time holiday give any indication to observance from "even to even". Only Passover/ Unleavened bread and Atonement days which represent His Sacrifice. These two Holy Days are the reminders for us that He died for us during that time frame. YahuSha was removed from the tree around 3 pm before sunset/evening. HE is our Bread of Life and the Passover Lamb. Therefore, we symbolically partake of his crucified body which has now been removed from the tree. It is a solemn observance remembering YahuSha’s sacrifice on that day. The Days of Unleavened Bread, as part of the Passover Feast Days, are observed in this manner and are solemn reminders for us to remove sin from our lives. We are being crucified with YahuSha on these days.

The Passover observance/meal (although the day starts at sunrise, actually twilight) is eaten in the evening. It is a solemn observance remembering YahuSha’s sacrifice. The Days of Unleavened Bread, as part of the Passover Feast Days, are observed in this manner and are solemn reminders for us to remove sin from our lives. We are being crucified with YahuSha on these days.

Pentecost is a Day of Celebration, which starts at dawn before sunrise and end before dawn. There NO commandment to do anything at even or until even. The Feast of Trumpets and the festival of tabernacle are also a Day of Celebration and there is NO commandment to do anything from evening to evening for this appointed time holiday as well.

Different Between Dawn and Morning and also Dusk and Evening

The next thing I want to clear up more about is the different between dawn and morning and also dusk and evening. When people read the scriptures that said evening, people often assume that this word evening is talking about sundown/sunset time. That is wrong to think that way often, because the word evening means between high noon (the middle of day) to sundown end of the daylight hours. Same for morning, morning hours is between sunrise until high noon. The word for dawn and dusk are the specific twilight time on the earth’s horizon. Not every scripture which mention the word “even or evening” does not mean at sundown end of day.

Lesson in History

Let talk about the history of the time system change, as you know American’s time system is based on Julian-Gregorian. Back in Roman time, their time system was the “pre-Julian” calendar which was created during the founding of Rome and is believed to have been a lunar calendar, which may have been based on one of the Greek lunar calendars. The original Roman calendar was said to be invented by Romulus, the first king, Julius Caesar (Before Common Era) in 45 B.C.E. In 1582, Pope Gregory XIII (the Roman Catholic) ordered the change of the time system of the Gregorian Calendar, which modification with the Julian calendar. The Gregorian mathematical and astronomical work was done by Christopher Clavius, S.J. who was also the one who advised this changed. The Gregorian calendar was first adopted in the 16th century in some European countries.

By the time in the 16th century, it was not the first of whom changed the time and the law of YHUH, in the 4th century, the Papacy of Rome declared all citizens to keep Sunday holy instead of the true Shabbat Day. Papacy claimed that we’re not made to be the rule of the Shabbat day which based on what Mark 2:27 said. They also claimed the reason of change is because the Messiah resurrected on Sunday as “the lord day” and became a "new sabbath day”. Later on, they noticed how some of the followers who still follow Saturday Shabbat would not dare go along to agree with what was demanded, so 11 years later; another of their so-called law had passed by the same demander, a ruler who made that true seventh day Sabbatical ILLEGAL to punishable by DEATH! Most of the early martyrs were, in fact, the true Shabbat followers who many did end up murdered, while others did not because they fear death and go along to obey the Roman new law. Other who failed not to keep the true sabbatical day on Saturday did not trust in YHUH, became the lost sheep.

For many generations, children after children from their past family who once follow the true Sabbatical appointed times somehow little by little had forgotten the correct law of the time system and the appointed time (true seasonal) holiday. They are the lost sheep who no longer know the whole true. After the Papacy of Rome old world empire, who once murder a lot of their own people are no longer dangerous. People were force to obey and follow their laws and belief which apart from YAH’s law and time. Yet, the good news is, YAH’s words in the Bible will never disappear (Matthew 24:35). Papacy are not the only people who dare changed the time and the law of YHUH’s way. Because far back in ancient history, Misr (Egypt), Babylon, and Greece Empire times also have done away to changed the rule of the YHUH creation time system.

Here are some of the interesting historical facts people confess their wrong and knew the truth, which we have done some damage to the creator’s time system along with the Sabbatical appointed time. According to some supporting evidence in a book called Jewish Encyclopedia, page 475, this book mentioned a day begins at dawn: “meaning of the day; in the Bible, the season of light to the coming forth of the stars”. Another supporting evidence, according to the Jewish Festivals: History & Observance, page 13, it said: “In order to assure against profanation of Sabbath the Jew added the late Friday afternoon hours to the Sabbath.” Another supporting evidence in a book called Judaism: Between Yesterday and Tomorrow; page 518 said: “If we look at the essentials of the day of the rest and reflection, which has a religious orientation, it is possible to justify the shifting at Sabbath worship to Friday evening, the celebration of the vigil/night watch was moved back to the eve of the Feast as early as the middle age...”

There is much more evidence to find, search online for the Catholicism historical fact in the Catholic Encyclopedia, volume 11, page 1068; this one said “...a sacred day of rest on the 7th day (the Sabbath). The days were reckoned from morning to morning...” In the same voluminous book of the Catholics encyclopedia for a section titled; “Later Jewish Calendar”, it said, “Following the reign of King Josiah (c.640-609), and especially after the Babylonian exile, a number of significant and enduring changes occurred in the Israelite calendar showing that their time... However, the day was counted from evening to evening, after the Babylonian fashion...”.

Now, let do our best in study in the Bible history. YAH’s ancient people tend to work during the daylight instead of during the night. Other than being a gate guard. Let read EXODUS 29:38-39, where Ysraelites used to do the offerings that were required to perform on a daily basis during the daylight, one in the morning and one in the evening:

“And this is what you prepare on the altar: two lambs, a year old, daily, continually. Prepare the one (first) lamb in the morning and the other (second) lamb you prepare between the evenings...”

The verses above tell us that Ysraelites were to offer two lambs per day: verse 39 tells us that the first lamb was to be offered in the morning and then the second lamb was to be offered in the evening! Understand this clearly, the evening is referring between the time of noon and dusk. For example, 3 pm in our modern-day clock hour mean in the middle of the evening hour (or it means between the evening hours). Both sacrifices were offered during the daylight, never at NIGHT. Understand this again, two sacrifices took place every day, during the daylight, never during the night. The first sacrifice was offered in the morning and the second sacrifice was offered in the evening. Which must indicate the time before sunset! Question, why did not the passage verses not say first sacrifice done in the evening first and then morning?

Labor always seem to be done during the daylight, please look in 1st KINGS 18:40-46:

“And Ĕliyahu said to them, Seize the prophets of Ba‛al! Do not let one of them escape!” So they seized them and Ĕliyahu brought them down to the wadi Qishon and slaughtered them there. And Ĕliyahu said to Ahab, Go up, eat and drink, because of the sound of the noise of rain. Ahab went up to eat and to drink and Ĕliyahu went up to the top of Karmel and he bowed down on the ground and put his face between his knees, and said to his servant, Please go up and look closely toward the sea. So he went up and looked closely and said, Not a speck. And seven times he said,  Go again. And it came to be the seventh time, that he said, I see a little cloud as small as a man’s hand is coming out of the sea!” And he said, Go up, say to Ahab, Hitch up and go down before the rain stops you.’ And in the meantime, it came to be that the heavens became black with clouds and wind and there was a heavy rain, while Ahab rode and went to Yizre‛ĕl. And the hand of YHUH was on Ĕliyahu. And he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Yizre‛ĕl”.

Think carefully about all these events outlined took place about the time of, and after, the sacrifice offered in the evening at least about 3 hours before sunset time. Because it is obvious that these events had to have taken place before sundown? Same reason why YahuSha dead body was taken down from the tree at 3pm long before sunset time. How else would there have been enough light for Elijah to do all the things mentioned in the scripture, including climbing to the top of Mount Carmel??? His servant climbing the mount several times and abilities to look toward the sea? None of this seems to happen during or after sunset, or in the dark hour? Since these scriptures give us a strong supporting point where we all need to clearly understand. As we use these verses in 1st Kings chapter 18 as conclusive evidence to support us from the scriptures – that the word “evening or even” once again does not refers as SUNDOWN evening!

Once again, the daily sacrifice offering always done one in the morning and one in the evening. First 1st CHRONICLES 16:40 said:

"...to offer burnt offerings to YHUH on the altar of burnt offering regularly morning and evening and to do according to all that is written in the Torah of YHUH which He commanded Yisraĕl;"

Scripture tells us that YHUH’s people are the spiritual house which is made up of lively stones. As lively stones forming YHUH’s children, we are to offer up spiritual sacrifices daily! Since we no longer required to offer physical burnt sacrifices, but spiritual sacrifices. Scripture also clearly states that these sacrifices must be acceptable to YHUH if they are to correctly do to fulfill our spiritual obligation.

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to YHUH continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name” (Heb. 13:15).

Scripture also teaches that YAH’s people are the spiritual house which is made up of lively stones. As lively stones forming YAH’s children, we are to offer up spiritual sacrifices daily! Since we no longer required to offer physical blood burnt sacrifices, but spiritual sacrifices.

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to YHUH continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name” (Heb. 13:15).

However, Hebrews 13:5 show more specific to the spiritual daily sacrifices requirement of YAH’s people:

“And when He took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp and golden bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the set-apart ones” (Rev. 5:8).

“And another messenger came and stood at the altar, holding a golden censer and much incense was given to him, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the set-apart ones upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the set-apart ones, went up before YHUH from the hand of the messenger” (Rev. 8:3-4).

When YAH was preparing His people to enter the promised land. Canaan, YAHUAH gave specific commands to Moses concerning the rituals of worshiping. The requirements are given to Moses to do twice-daily sacrifice. He commanded the daily sacrifice of "two lambs! ' year old. Offer one in the morning and the other at twilight." This set in place t pattern in the morning and evening sacrifice always. The morning and evening sacrifice was beginning to take on a devotional character.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter through the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up by another way, that one is a thief and a robber. But he who enters through the door...

...Yahusha therefore said to them again, Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. Whoever enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and shall go out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to slaughter, and to destroy. I have come that they might possess life, and that they might possess it beyond measure”. - JOHN 10:1, 7-10

Those who came out of Babylon had heard and were attempted to keep YAH’s weekly and yearly appointed for coming in His presence. Learned of his daily appointments for meeting with Him? All of us have heard this phrase “Give us this day our daily bread” without understanding its full meaning. To understand the daily appointed times for coming into YAH’s presence, it is necessary to learn the old times of the offering up of the animal sacrifices, as Yahusha’s blood replaced that of the blood of the animals. It is, of course, instant death, if one attempts to enter the presence of YAH without the covering of blood, as there is no remission of sins without the shedding of blood. Sin cannot enter the presence of YAHUAH.

“This is what YHUH has said, Tomorrow is a rest, a Shabbat set-apart to YHUH. That which you bake, bake; and that which you cook, cook. And lay up for yourselves all that is left over, to keep it until morning”- Exodus 16:23

Why does this above passage say, 'Tomorrow is the rest' (Sabbath) which happens until the morning? The next example is in Matthew 28:1:

“Now after the Sabbath, toward dawn on the first day of the week, Miryam (Mary) from Magdala and the other Miryam (Mary) came to see the tomb.”

This above passage clearly said toward dawn (Greek word “epiphosko”) of the morning the day after Sabbath because Sunday is the first day of the week? Why didn’t it say evening at sunset before first day tomorrow? Here a noteworthy example of the sunset reckoning in a different way inNehemiah 13:19, which reads:

“And it came to be, at the gates of Yerushalayim, as it began to be dark before the Sabbath, that I commanded the gates to be shut and commanded that they should not be opened until after the Sabbath. And I stationed some of my servants at the gates, so that no burdens would be brought in on the Sabbath day.”

The above verse, most people often misunderstanding what it means “began to be dark before the Sabbath” When the guard must shut the gates, which happened on Friday end of evening before night. The significant that Nehemiah commanded the doors to be shut "when it began to be dark” presumably means gates were generally to be closed during the night because people can’t see in the dark. Plus, people need to get ready for the next day Sabbath by shutting down the business, so that no traveler are allow to enter during the Sabbath day. Again, everything is dark and is not easy to work during the night. This is why people had to get everything ready for the next day before it gets dark.

There is another evidenced by the story of the two spies who entered Jericho in the evening and who, according to Rahab’s response to the king’s guards, left "when the gate was to be closed, at dark" Nehemiah 2:5.

Now you can see why I practice and follow the time system of the 24 hours from dawn to dawn, not by dusk to dusk. People who practice the sundown evening to evening are blind and confuse. Sound like they want to wander into the darkness without knowing that they are.

I strongly believe we are not NOT to change YAH's appointed law and time according to Deuteronomy 4:1-2:

“And now, O Yisra’ĕl, listen to the laws and the right-rulings which I am teaching you to do so that you live and shalt go in and possess the land which YHUH of your fathers is giving you. “Do not add to the Word which I command you and do not take away from it, so as to guard the commands of your YHUH which I am commanding you”

The book of Psalm 89:34 said:

“I shall not profane My covenant, Neither would I change what has gone out from My lips.”

Even Yahusha during HIS time on earth said:

“Do not think that I came to destroy (or change) the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy (or change) but to complete. For truly, I say to you, till the heavens and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah until all be done. Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall by no means enter into the reign of the heavens” - Matthew 5:17-20

2nd Corinthians 4:6 - For YAH said, “Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of YAH in the face of YahuSha, the Messiah".

John 1:5 - "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it".

Romans 13:12 - "The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armour of light".

Isaiah 60:1 - "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the YAH has risen (or renew) upon you".

Lamentations 3:22-23 - "It is YAH mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are renewed every morning: great is thy faithfulness".

Proverbs 4:18 - "But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day".

John 9:4 - "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

1st Thessalonians 5:5 - "For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness".

Acts 26:18 - "To open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to YAHUAH, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me"

Understand more about the creation time clock:

Appointed Time Clock.jpg

Acts 2:15 “For these are not drunk, as you imagine, seeing it is only the third hour of the day.” What time is that in our time system custom? Nine AM right? YES.

Did you know YahuSha was nailed on tree during the "third hour" (Mark 15:25), which means nine am in our time system custom. Do you see the different?

Did you also know that YahuSha died at the “ninth hour” (Mark 15:34), That three pm in our time system custom? Do you see that?

Matthew 20:5-6,12 - “Having gone out again about the sixth and ninth hour, he did likewise. And about the eleventh hour having gone out, he found others standing idle, and said to them, why do you stand here idol all day?” “Saying, these last have worked only one hour, and you made them equal to us, who have borne the burden and the heat of the day.”

As you can see the image above show us the time for daylight and night to compare and see the different time cart between ancient and present time system reading. Noticed the zero- and first-hour point at the beginning day hours in the morning instead of evening or night hour. Because evening is the near end time remainder of the daylight hours. Most people over looked this understanding time system in the ancient day or they simply decide to ignore it and accept the sundown evening custom as the beginning 24 hours day. That a BIG NO NO!

Remainder of the evidence by people:

“…a sacred day of rest on the 7th day (the Sabbath). Days were reckoned from morning to morning…” (New Catholic Encyclopedia, Vol. 11, pg. 1068)

“Following the reign of King Josiah (c. 640-609), and especially after the Babylonian exile, a number of significant and enduring changes occurred in the Israelite calendar showing that the Jews gradually adopted the Babylonian calendar of the time…The day however, was counted from evening to evening, after the Babylonian fashion….” (New Catholic Encyclopedia, Vol. 11, section titled “Later Jewish Calendar”).

“…shortly after the beginning of the Greek period, [236 BC] came the change in the method of reckoning the day, from evening to evening instead of from morning to morning as of old…” (The Calendars of Ancient Israel, p. 146).

Dear brother and sister, I am telling you all this to give you an wide open eyes opportunity to see the LIGHT as our key understanding why DAWN before sunrise is the actual timing begin of the 24 hours DAY. Please turn away from the dusk which turn to darkness by walking forward toward DAWN rays of the sun LIGHT. This is the reason example why we are to look and walk to YahuSha, our Messiah who is the LIGHT of the world.

In this topic article, I, Philip Pouliot am going to share something very importunate deal here. The importation deal is about the appointed time which our creator one who made the heaven and earth has already given us the time system to track the time. According to Genesis chapter one, HE has given us the tracking sign of the sun, moon and stars to know the times. Unfortunately, we have failed to follow the proper tracking time by man made time system. Many of us since childhood were taught to track the beginning of the 24 hours day at 12 o'clock midnight. By the time I was in my 30’s, I was also taught to practice the 24 hours tracking time of the day by sundown evening (dusk), before the night come. Which based on the Bible teaching which my former pastor claimed. Until one day, I have discovered the beginning of the 24-hour day does not start at sundown evening or 12 o'clock midnight. Discovered that the Bible actually point out the 24 hours begin at dawn before sunrise. This is what I am going to proof you by evidence in the Bible and some historical fact.

Reader, you must be very seriouse and read very carefully while researching, observing, and study the Bible. Pray to YAH, our heavenly Father for the wisdom to open your eyes and see the clear truth about the appointed time day. Asking Father when does the 24 hours actually start the DAY. Just maybe you will be able to discover and finally see it. It is no surprise that the Bible alone do really instructed us why the beginning of the day actually start at dawn early morning rays of the sunlight. Before the sunrise out the horizon.

There is one key word which has got a lot of my attendant to. Which had made my mind decision about dawn instead of dusk. This one word is about the LIGHT. It all started by how I read in the book of Genesis chapter one, verse four which explained how the life of creation began. As why does this LIGHT first appear in the void of the darkness where there were also waters. Our Creator Father had spoken the first creation of this light to appear. Genesis also explained that this LIGHT rule over the day and night. Discovered and realized that this LIGHT in Genesis 1:4 is not the sun, since verse 14 explained about the created of sun, moon, and stars. By the end of all the investigation about verse 4, it turn out that this LIGHT is our heavenly Father who light HIM self to shine us. Meaning, HE is the LIGHT of the world.

YAHUAH is the Creator ONE and he has made his light shine on us… - Psalm 118:27

...YAH is light and there is no darkness in him at all. - First John 1:5

The next problem we need to look and compare verse 4 and 14. The first light which appear in the void of darkness deep is not the sun that shine to separate the darkness. Because verse 14 is describe about the creation of sun, moon and stars. This is where you might wonder what is this light in verse 4? I found out after figure out what this light is when I read John 8:12 and 9:5. “…saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life”. “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” After reading those two passages verses, my mind was popping up about John chapter one.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." - KJV John 1:1-5

I suggest you read the whole chapter one of John, because I believe these passage verses have the connection with Genesis chapter one. Plus, I remember how verses 16-18 said:

“And YHUH made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night and the stars. And YHUH set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night and to separate the light from the darkness. And YHUH saw that it was good.”

Noticed how LIGHT rule over both, DAY and NIGHT. We don’t see any verse claim NIGHT rule over DAY and NIGHT. This is where and how I realized YAH rule over day and night, because he IS the light of the world.

What About Day of Atonement?

Let read in Leviticus 23:27 and see what YAH commanded Moses to tell the Yisraelites to do“on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a DAY of ATONEMENT: it shall be a holy convocation unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto YAH”.

: 28 And ye shall do no work on THAT SAME DAY: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before YAH your Creator ONE.

:29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted on THAT SAME DAY (again, this is talking about on the Atonement day), he shall be cut off from among his people.

:30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work on THAT SAME DAY, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.

:31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

:32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

Now why did verse 32 say 9th day of the 7th month at evening while the 10th day of the 7th month is the day that begin the sabbatical atonement day? From verses 28, 29, and 30 mentioned THAT SAME DAY, which is on the Day of Atonement and is the Sabbatical time. Now, why did verse 32 said the 9th day of the 7th month start the sabbatical time at evening instead of the 10th day at evening? I discovered why; it is because YAH want us to FAST the day before the Atonement day. This way our stomach will be empty as holy for Atonement Day.

Many believe the 7th day Sabbath start at evening by pointing to the Atonement day appointed time evening to evening custom as evidence based on 24 hours day cycle. The troubling is, they miss or overlooked the 9th day of the 7th month before the Day of Atonement which is on the 10th day. Plus, Genesis 1:4 does not point out as evening to evening but evening to morning which is only 12 hours of night as I’ve already explained that part earlier. Once again, we must fast and keep our bodies and stomach holy. Just like how our doctor orders us to fast on the evening before the surgery on the next day.
