Trick or Truth

the Hallowe'en Scary Facts

Have you ever been tricked or being told a lie? Have you ever been treated badly or unfairly? Do you think our life is at stake if we pick the wrong path? Do you think we have been brainwashed to believe in something that isn't true? Do you think we have been influenced by the darkness in this world? Most of all, do you think we have been taught mostly correct in life matter of this world?

I, Bro. Pouliot do think so and I will tell you why. Most people do not realize that Satan still evil controlling us since Adam's wife was tricked by him. If we look around the globe, we seen many things going on around the world. Most often we see bad news then the good through out the media. There is one things that most people are blind about is how we're being taught at school or home. How dangerous are we being brainwashed from the truth.

Let me give you an example, it about the Halloween day? Halloween is a day that most American know this day as a dress up costume and do the trick or treat for a candy? In my past, I've done this trick or treat when I was a kid. In my 30's, I've discovered the truth about the Halloween. I found out that it used to call the Hallows' Evening Day. Back in those days, it was never considered like the Halloween today. This Hallows' Evening Day were mostly done by the priest who come in gathering every year to celebrated that day as Saints' Day every year. According to the World Book Encyclopedia, somehow inn the past Pope Gregory IV In A.E.D. 835, who designated this so-called All Saints’ Day, or All Hallows’ Day (the term hallow refers to saints), the night before November 1, October 31. Yet, if you happen to say, “it seem like there nothing wrong about that”? There is more problem about that. As why there a problem with this All Saints' Day celebration.

Halloween in our modern day is extremely popular then in the past. Most of all, more scary and crazier then ever before. Whether kids would be wearing the makeup nor a mask. Grown-up adults also practice this traditional custom. It's seem like about 80 or 90 percent of U.S. children and adults have gone out for trick-or-treating door to door or having a blast party. Engage from the so-called "a holy evening" or "All Saints’ Day" to an All Hallows’ Day HALLOWE'EN. Changing the annual festivities idea.

Now the question is, would we find this Hallowe'en in the scriptures book (Bible)? No, because this traditional custom is not from heavenly way but man's way. Meaning, the scriptural book does not teach such thing about Halloween. This is a twist of lies along with the scriptural book we have mixed up with the Saints’ Day idea. What else I've learned about this Hallowe'en day custom, it is not found in one of the Appointed day. The seven different festivities holidays which our Creator Father in heaven want us to practice and remember each of the Appointed day.

This Halloween celebration custom in U.S. observed on the 31st of October, primarily in regions of the Western world; the traditions and importance of the celebration vary significantly between geographical areas. Once again, candy and costume are the most in the sale markets. According to the National Retail Federation, the most popular Halloween costume themes for adults are, in order: witch, pirate, vampire, cat and even a clown. The other popular Halloween costume themes would also consider the famous movies actress or cartoon. Each year, popular costumes are dictated by various current events, movies and pop culture icons. On many college campuses, Halloween is also extremely a major celebration. This would mostly happen on the Friday and Saturday as if it was nearest at the date 31 of October; hosting many costume parties. Halloween did not become a holiday until the 19th century. American almanacs of the late 18th and early 19th centuries do not include Halloween in their lists of holidays. This is one of the so-called holiday where people still go to work on this day. Because they say this is not a Federal holiday.

Deep Historical Fact:

If you wonder where did this Halloween (or All Hallows’ Day) come from? The transatlantic migration of nearly two million Irish following; the Irish Potato Famine people between 1845–1849 had brought this so-called holiday to the United States somehow. Scottish emigration, primarily to Canada before 1870 and to the United States thereafter, brought the Scottish version of the holiday to each country. The earliest known reference to ritual begging on Halloween in English speaking North America occurs in 1911, when a newspaper in Kingston, Ontario reported that it was normal for the smaller children to go street "guising" on Halloween between 6 and 7 p.m., visiting shops and neighbors to be rewarded with nuts and candies for their rhymes and songs. Between 19th to 20th century, Halloween had turned into a night of vandalism, with destruction of property and cruelty to animals and people. Around 1912, the Boy Scouts or Boys Clubs, and other neighborhood did organizations come together to encourage an idea to have a safe Halloween celebration that would end this destruction that had become so common on the night. School posters during that time called for a "Sane Halloween". Children began to go door to door, receiving treats, rather than playing tricks on their neighbors. This helped to reduce the mischief, and by the time in 1930s, "beggar's nights" had become very popular. Trick-or-Treat(ing) became widespread by the end of the 1930s. The commercialization of Halloween in the United States did not start until the early 20th century, beginning perhaps with Halloween postcards (featuring hundreds of designs), which were most popular between 1905 and 1915. Mass-produced Halloween costumes did not appear in stores until the 1930s, and trick-or-treating did not become a fixture of the holiday until the 1950s. In the 1990s, many manufacturers began producing a larger variety of Halloween yard decorations; before this, the majority of decorations were homemade. Some of the most popular yard decorations are jack-o'-lanterns, scarecrows, witches, orange string lights, inflatable decorations such as spiders, pumpkins, mummies and vampires, and animatronic window and door decorations. Other popular decorations are foam tombstones and also gargoyles. Even still today since the 20 century, we also would likely see this Halloween tradition on such haunted house, performing theaters and television show or even in the movie. Because of today technology and media industry had grown this Hallowe'en treat into business so popular today.

Noticed, Halloween always seems to come to the end of during or after it harvest season, before winter season. Harvest festivals and bonfires activate are another among reason to starts this Hallowe'en event. Before the US and Irish time, this tradition also among idea from the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. The Celts, who lived about 2,000 years ago in the area where is now Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France. Celts had celebrated their new year on November first. This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death. Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. On the night of October 31 they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth. In addition to even causing trouble and damaging crops, Celts thought that the presence of the otherworldly spirits made it easier for the Druids, or Celtic priests, to make predictions about the future. For a people entirely dependent on the volatile natural world, these prophecies were an important source of comfort and direction during the long, dark winter. To commemorate the event, Druids built huge sacred bonfires, where the people gathered to burn crops and animals as sacrifices to the Celtic deities. During the celebration, the Celts wore costumes, typically consisting of animal heads and skins, and attempted to tell each other's fortunes. When the celebration was over, they re-lit their hearth fires, which they had extinguished earlier that evening, from the sacred bonfire to help protect them during the coming winter. Poor thing about this, is how this became the historical fact as how Halloween idea began with.

By 43 A.D., the Roman Empire had conquered the majority of Celtic territory. In the course of the four hundred years that they ruled the Celtic lands, two festivals of Roman origin were combined with the traditional Celtic celebration of Samhain. The first was Feralia, a day in late October when the Romans traditionally commemorated the passing of the dead. The second was a day to honor Pomona, the Roman goddess of fruit and trees. The symbol of Pomona is the apple and the incorporation of this celebration into Samhain probably explains the tradition of "bobbing" for apples that is practiced today on Halloween.

On May 13, 609 A.D., Pope Boniface IV dedicated the Pantheon in Rome in honor of all Christian martyrs, and the Catholic feast of All Martyrs Day was established in the Western church. Pope Gregory III (731–741) later expanded the festival to include all saints as well as all martyrs, and moved the observance from May 13 to November 1. By the 9th century the influence of Christianity had spread into Celtic lands, where it gradually blended with and supplanted the older Celtic rites. In 1000 A.D., the church would make November 2 All Souls' Day, a day to honor the dead. It is widely believed today that the church was attempting to replace the Celtic festival of the dead with a related, but church-sanctioned holiday. All Souls Day was celebrated similarly to Samhain, with big bonfires, parades, and dressing up in costumes as saints, angels and devils. The All Saints Day celebration was also called All-hallows or All-hallowmas (from Middle English Alholowmesse meaning All Saints' Day) and the night before it, the traditional night of Samhain in the Celtic religion, began to be called All-hallows Eve and, eventually, Halloween.

So now that we can track this partial Halloween traditions all the way in Ireland-Celts' day history. And in the early Middle Ages which Catholic vigil also too observed this event of the so-called All Saints Day, on November first. Which this 'All Hallows Eve or Allhallow-evening' sound the same is the same; later change to a Hallowe'en or Halloween.

The biggest problem with this traditional custom, nowhere in the the Scriptures book would practice this kind of custom. The worse part about Hallowe'en, is how people would make people believed in the transmigration of souls and eat junky candy that isn’t healthy. You may or may not have heard about this trough interviewed media, they believe they existed in a former life. This is all of the paganism, satanic saint's holiday.

Everything I have shared so far here, the historical facts, which many of us do not know about this darkness truth but now we do. Not very long ago had this changed little by little. How it become more fun looking and scary treaty day. This Hallowe'en custom had changed more for the loving kids of their own to go out for trick and/or treat with more lies. People still today celebrations the story why Hallowe’en is good, like how one story took place in Ireland example long ago, when they carvings on such pumpkins were made, and have this so-called Jack-O-Laterns story. The legend was when a man named Jack had played practical jokes on the devil and bothered him, so the devil kept him out of heaven. Jack, therefore, had to live forever on earth carrying a lit lantern, warning people not to offend the devil. The lesson for little children: does not offend the devil? But now, it's all about fun and candy treat and even how the carved pumpkin is the famous Halloween icon from the influence of Jack O'Lanterns ideas? Now let take a look in the scriptures book why is this against Halloween icons by starting in Shemoth (EXODUS) 20:4-6.

“You do not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of that which is in the heavens above, or which is in the earth beneath, or which is in the waters under the earth, you do not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, YHUH your jealous Creator ONE, visiting the crookedness of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing kindness to thousands {generations}, to those who love Me and guard My commands.”

Other scriptures also mentioned and warned that we should watch ourselves and be careful not to become corrupt or make for ourselves an idol, an image of any shape, whether formed like a man or a woman, or like any animal on earth or any bird that flies in the air, or like any creature that moves along the ground or any fish in the waters below. And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them or it and worshiping things the heavenly Father has apportioned to all the nations under heaven which explain in Deuteronomy/Dabarim/D'varim 4:15-19.

In Deuteronomy/Dabarim/D'varim 18:9-14, also explain when a person or a group of people come into the land who respect the Creator's printable law, which He had given us long ago shalt not learn to follow the abominations of other nations whom does not obey His way. Even the scripture mention not to be found among whom would make his son or daughter to pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a Spiritualist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination to the heaven's host, and because of these abominations heavenly Father will drive them out from His people. To be blameless before the Him, for these nations which can dispossess us, listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for us our Father in heaven has not appointed such for us. Passing through the fire or having one who practices witchcraft or a soothsayer or one who interprets omens or a sorcerer or one who would conjure spells or a medium or a spiriting nor one who calls up the dead is all such evil influencing that is so much like the Halloween traditions. The scriptural explained that we should "... not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father IS NOT IN HIM. " 1st John 2:15.

So Halloween is a idolatry IDOLATRY thing to have. Since it is not from heaven but from the worldly of man, paganism way (demon follower) custom. As how Apostles SHAUL/SHLICHA/PAUL share this truth in (Qorintiyim Aleph) 1st Corinthians) 10:14-22:

“Therefore, my beloved ones, flee from idolatry. I speak as to wise men, judge for yourselves what I say. The cup of blessing which webless, is it not a sharing in the blood of YahuSha? The bread that we break, is it not a sharing in the body of YahuSha? Because there is one bread, we, who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one bread. Look at Yisra’ĕl after the flesh: Are not those who eat of the offerings sharers in the altar? What then do I say? That an idol is of any value? Or that which is offered to idols is of any value? No, but what the gentiles offer they offer to demons and not to the Creator ONE and I do not wish you to become sharers with demons. You are not able to drink the cup of the Master and the cup of demons, you are not able to partake of the table of the Master and of the table of demons. Do we provoke the Master to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?”

Please also look in Philippians 4:8: "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things.”

So now that we know this traditional custom Hallowe'en is soo darkness and scary that we don't want to be lead into the darkness of eternal death. Do we want to be trick by the lie or do we want to know the truth behind the mask? Do you think Halloween sound heavenly? Do you think HE, our Creator accept this kind of traditional event? Let us think first by always check in the scriptures book to see if any custom fit or accept it tradition.
